The One Child – One Jersey Project
The One Child – One Jersey Project is a flagship project close to the musician Fiesta Black’s heart. It is an educational initiative focusing on primary school children between grades 1 and 4. In many underprivileged communities, the parents have the burden of getting children fed and their school fees paid. These communities struggle to buy school uniform for their children. The burden becomes greater in winter as children need warm clothes to wear. A cold child is less likely to concentrate during class and is also prone to catching colds and other serious disease such as pneumonia.
To address the negative impact on school performance, Fiesta Black, Mud House Music and 034 Music collaborated to collect and distribute wool winter jerseys to selected primary schools around the country. Jerseys are collected from individuals, NPOs, organizations, corporations and government departments. The goal is to enable children to reach their full potential at school with the aim to cover as many disadvantaged schools as possible.
To donate a jersey or to add your school into our beneficiary list email fb@fiestablack.co.za
We welcome all form of assistance and encourage everyone to participate. #TeamFB
